The year 2009 swiftly coming to the end and all a sudden we are at the very end of the year meaning we are getting closer to the year 2010 and closer to the year 2012 of which been widely spoken as the year coming to.........is it? Certainly not to S2U.
Come what may, to S2U its just another year and we do have lots of things up our sleeves to do. To start with, we planned for another golf outing to one of our favourite spots .....Cameron Highlands. It's sure nice to be backed high up in one the sensational hill resorts sited on the north running south range dividing the east and west of the Peninsular.

The weather as expected, was nice and cool with the sun shining brightly in the first half of the day. In the afternoon it was however not so friendly. The strong easterly winds brought chaotic to the entire familiar tourist resort with its heavy down pour. Its alright with most of the areas but not so with the golf course of which certainly our main priority and concern....especially to the members of S2U namely Kelvin, Gary, Mike, Steve, Charlie, Dennis, Andy and a guest of ours Douglas Lim.
On the first day, after a quick lunch, a flight comprising of Kelvin, Gary, Dennis and Douglas happily rushed off to tee-off at the Cameron Highlands Golf Club. They managed to reach the third green before the weather turned ugly and chased them back to the almost completed newly built golf club. The game was called off. No way can you play in that type of torrential rain.
Adding salt to the wound, Dennis suddenly got an emergency phone call and had to head for home. That too goes with Douglas. He had to return for KL too. That short listed our list to six from the original eight. To Gary, what to do, no problem, more food to eat mah......
So, our golf outing instead of a two-day play, we managed to tee-off only on the second day and obviously in the early morning for we were warned that by 1400 its almost impossible to play with the daily afternoon rain.
Nonetheless, we certainly had a good round of golfing. The entire course since the last time we played, have improved tremendously. Not surprising for we were informed that HRH Sultan of Pahang will be coming to officially open the new beautiful golf club in December this year. Well, its certainly a good news for all golfers heading for this hill resort.
